METRO GROUP has been successfully established in Russia since November 1, 2000 when the preparations for the first Metro Cash & Carry stores’ opening started. Now there are 52 Metro Cash & Carry stores in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Yaroslavl, Kazan, Rostov-on-Don, Volgograd, Samara, Krasnodar, Nizhniy Novgorod, Ekaterinburg, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Ryazan, Tula, Tyumen, Ulyanovsk,  Chelyabinsk, Stavropol, Saratov, Perm, Orenburg, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Naberezhnye chelny, Ufa, Krasnoyarsk, Novokuznetsk, Togliatti, Penza, Astrakhan, Tver, Kaluga, Kursk, Ivanovo, Briansk, Kirov.

Another METRO GROUP sales brand Real Hypermarkets opened 15 stores in Moscow, Togliatti, Saint Petersburg, Lipezk, Yaroslavl, Nizhniy Novgorod, Volgograd, Saratov, Kazan, Ivanovo, Tambov and Rostov-on-Don.

Media Markt has entered the Russian market in 2006 and has opened 20 stores in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Tolyatti, Ekaterinburg, Lipetsk,  Kazan, Voronezh, Omsk and Krasnodar.

First  2 Saturn stores will be open till the end of 2010 in Voronezh and Moscow.
